About Me

Hi, I’m Faye – and welcome to my art platform!

This entire website is designed and created by me, from the ground up. It’s not built by a team or a company—just me, one artist and educator, crafting a space to share what I’ve learned and loved over the years. Do you like it?

I’ve been teaching, creating, and working in the art field for over 18 years—across classrooms, studios, contemporary art museums, and galleries. Now that I’m turning 40, and also a mom to a curious 5-year-old boy, I feel even more connected to the heart of what art means. Motherhood has given me fresh perspective—it reminds me every day to stay curious, patient, playful, and open. These are the same values I bring into my teaching.

Here’s what I’ve come to believe:

Yes, art can be self-taught—but your aesthetic sense, taste, technical skills, and artistic values need to be nurtured and inspired by something meaningful. My years in the contemporary art world taught me the value of seeing great art in person. Walking through galleries and museums, learning from artists, and being surrounded by powerful works—it trains your eye and helps you discover your own inner voice.

In my experience, there are two beautiful paths in art:

  • One is the free path—drawing, painting, and creating purely for joy, with no rules and no right answers. If you follow your heart, the process itself becomes a joyful, healing part of your life.
  • The other is the professional path—for those who want to become animators, designers, or architects. This journey requires long-term, focused training to build precision, design thinking, and the ability to express ideas clearly. But even then, seeing the best art and staying true to your passion are what make your work meaningful.
  • To me, art is more than a skill—it’s my lifestyle and my way of seeing the world.

On this platform, I don’t position myself as a traditional teacher. I’m your creative guide, walking alongside you, helping you discover your unique style—whether you want to pursue art professionally or simply enjoy it as a part of your everyday life.

There’s no fixed answer in art—but through the process, you will always find something that matters.
Sometimes, getting lost in art is the best way to find yourself.

    Let’s begin this journey together.
